About The Author

Mary O’Loughlin Starkweather

Mary Starkweather was born Mary O’Loughlin. Growing up in a family of eight, she was always surrounded by shared experiences and storytelling that gave rise to her love for words. In the early 2000s, her journey took her to Colorado, where aspens towered, winding trails and crisp mountain air became the center of her poetry and stories.

Mary works part-time in the school and always finds inspiration in her daily walks in nature. The landscapes she wrote – the mountains kissed by the sun or the flowering streams – became the center of her work, resulting in In Sight of the Aspen Grove.
